This Medical Unit  is a 42-bed unit which serves both medical and oncology patients.  Nurses on this unit receive education for providing chemotherapy and symptom management for patients with cancer as well as serving patients with medical diagnosis.  Staff members are assisted in providing support for patients and families by an experienced oncology nurse case manager, and a social worker designated to care for oncology patients.

The Director assures the Mission, Vision and Values of Northwest Medical Center are represented in all decisions for the delivery of services.  The Director is also a member of the Nurse Executive Team, Leadership Councils and participates as a member of the management team.

Education:  Commitment to continuous learning in appropriate field.  Bachelor's degree in the area of specialty, business management or closely related field require.  Master's degree preferred.

Certification/Licenses:  Current Arizona RN licensure, BLS, required; ACLS, nationally recognized certification in the areas of expertise preferred.
