Position Responsibilities: Under general supervision, the Financial Counselor is responsible for financial assessment and coordinates establishment of payment for all patients. Education: High school or equivalent. Some college coursework preferred. Experience: Four (4) years related experience, two (2) year collections. Skills: Knowledge of applicable HCFA and other regulatory requirements, including third party payer procedures and practices required. Working knowledge of medical terminology, good human relations and analytical skills required, ability to use computerized Admitting/Billing system. Understanding of financial counseling .Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision and act independently
